Minards Leisure World

Feb 7th - March 8th

Service and warranty in the RV industry is a bit of a tricky thing. We’d like to take this opportunity to explain it to you, so you have a better understanding of our process.

For every warranty part that needs to be ordered, there is a long process that is involved: a picture of the part and a measurement (if it involves a cabinet door, countertop, etc.) must be taken. The picture and measurement then get sent to the manufacturer of the RV or even directly to the supplier.

Because RV manufacturers often change suppliers, change design or colours throughout the year, sending a picture and measurement still does not guarantee the correct part will be available.

Typically, the part will take two - three weeks to arrive once it has been ordered. This waiting period is lengthy because the part has to go to their shipping department, be shipped out, clear customs and then arrive in Canada. If it is not correct, the entire process must start all over again, which can be frustrating for both you the customer, and us as the dealer.

Although we stock many basic items such as water heaters, air conditioners, etc. We cannot stock cupboard doors, counter tops, or taps as they change on a regular basis.

Minard's Leisure World Service VanWe hope that by explaining this, you will be more tolerant of the wait time that is often involved in this process.

Because of the trouble that this process can be, we at MLW are extremely proud of our service department and technicians. We have four certified technicians on staff, with even more staff in training towards their certification.

 We are also the only Saskatchewan RV dealership that offers a Mobile Service Van. Why do we do this? Because we understand how important it is – as we too are RV’ers.

We want to provide the best possible service to our customers, and as a result, this service comes at a very low cost to you. For all warranty work, all we ask you to pay is mileage. We pay our techs to be on the road, we look after stocking the van, and take care of all the warranty administration.

The Mobile Service Van is for emergency service only (or for those with a permanent site) and is available within a 250 km radius of Weyburn. If you are farther out than that, please call us, and when possible we will extend that radius.

The Mobile Service Van services the following:

  • Furnace or air conditioner failure;
  • Water heater failure;
  • Slide out failure; and,
  • Converter failure.

We want to thank you in advance for your patience when dealing with warranty and service issues for your RV. Our guarantee is that we will do whatever we can to get you back up and running as quickly and painlessly as we can. Thank you again for your continued support.
