Located 35km North East of Moose Jaw, Buffalo Pound Provincial Park offers excellent hiking, cycling, and plenty of water activities. At any given time, you will find campers on the water enjoying their boats, water skiing, or fishing. In the park you will find a Rock-Climbing Wall, Squirrely Putt Mini Golf Course, Outdoor Pool, and a General Store selling all the necessities, like ice-cream! Another concession is located by the beach and well stocked with cold treats. The well treed campsites provide the perfect shelter for calm nights around the fire. During the day, an abundance of Saskatoon Berries provides for a great snack (or bowlful)!
This year we planned our weekend around attending the Moose Jaw Air Show. Saturday was spent taking in the amazing talents of pilots performing air acrobatics. This show left us in awe, and is definitely worth attending if you get the chance!
With Moose Jaw being so close, shopping, dining, and touring the Moose Jaw tunnels provides a convenient afternoon if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Buffalo Pound Provincial Park is also a great spot for golf enthusiasts with two golf courses located nearby.
