Adventure Team 2018
Moose Mountain Provincial Park
This past weekend Coreen and Darcy set off just east of Weyburn to the beautiful Moose Mountain Provincial Park. The park is home to a whopping 369 site campground, accommodating anything from tenting, to seasonal RV sites, and group gatherings!
After settling in, the adventure team spent their first night visiting their friends and watching the football game. In true adventure team style, the TV was brought outside, and the game watched under a starlit sky.
During the day, the beach was active with campers soaking up the sun. The lake lends itself well to boating, paddle boards, kayaking, or those just wanting a splash in the water! In the evening when the campers returned from the beach, the campgrounds were packed and bustling with families and children riding bikes and playing.
The park is in beautiful condition with well treed sites providing privacy and shelter to campsites, allowing for enjoyable evenings visiting around the campfire. The parked seemed free of bugs with the exception of the occasional mosquito, which made for excellent conditions to enjoy the nature trails. Trails lead campers to the village for ice-cream or lunch, and around the park giving a great view of the cabined streets with lovely family getaways.
Moose Mountain is also home to a challenging 18-hole golf course, which our adventure team has rated one of the nicest in South-East Saskatchewan!
If rain or bad weather strikes, the city of Carlyle is a 15-minute drive away. Carlyle is a bustling little community with restaurants, grocery stores, and the ever-popular King’s department store.
Moose Mountain park is a great campground to take the family and offers something to please every member of the family!
