Adventure Team / Dunnet Regional Park
Dunnet Regional Park, is located a short 2 miles south of Avonlea and many see it as a hidden gem on the prairies! This Regional Park is well-established with huge Manitoba Maple trees playing home to approximately 150 sites, both non-electrical and full service. The campsites were well maintained with spacious firepits, and very sheltered by the winding roads. It is clear the seasonal campers take great pride in the park, and work hard to keep their sites well maintained.
Dunnet is a great family campground with no shortage of things to occupy every member of the family! Outdoor ammenities include Swimming Pools, Playgrounds, Ball Diamonds, and Walking/Hiking Trails. If weather doesn’t cooperate, you can hit up the concession stands, or head into Avonlea and spend some time at the heritage museum, restaurant, or grab supplies at the grocery store!
The Watson Damn Reservoir is adjacent to the park, and is popular with campers! The reservoir is always full of boaters enjoying a variety of water activities, and hoping a fish might just bite their line.
Long Creek Golf Course is a short drive away. Even the most experienced golfer would find this gorgeous course a challenge! After a great round of golf, there’s no better place to gather than in the clubhouse, which is fully stocked with great food and cold beverages!
Dunnet Regional Park truly is a diamond in the prairies!
